Cloudgazers are mercenaries utilising the ancient Gold Age tool known as a sling. Beyond this simple fact, they tend to have little in common. Some are noble and dashing, while others are glorified pirates and crass hooligans.

During the Collapse, cloudgazers as a unified order ceased to be. The ability to manufacture new slings was lost; those that stole or inherited one had the privilege of continuing their use, often as they saw fit.
