The Ruby Falcon (Falco rubens) is a bird found throughout a large area of southern and central Azimuth. It is a vibrantly coloured bird popular amongst falconers due to flamboyant nature and an impressive plummage, although its price makes it a mark of the wealthy. It is believed to be an example of artificial selection; bred by millenia of human hands.
The Ruby Falcon is well recognised as the national animal of Ganzabar, featuring prominently on the Ganzabi flag.
