The Republic of Great Brazak was the forerunner state to the independent nation of Brazak West and the Ganzabi Semi-Autonomous Zone of Brazak East. It was a socialist parliamentary republic, successor of the Brazak Empire; which itself went back many hundreds of years to shortly after the Fall of Old Azrune. It grew gradually in power until reaching its peak in the 9270s, before being defeated in the Old Nezzu War at the hands of Ganzabar. A political takeover followed, resulting in the dissolution of Great Brazak and its government by the parliament in 9309.
