Spine Rig

A Spine Rig is a floatrock drilling platform. It consists of a stable floatrock station, from which a large drill-head is suspended by cables. This is lowered into the understorm, where huge clumps of drifting debris can often be found. 'Rigs, as they are often known, provide the only source of new material in Azimuth.
