Valya Free States
A small, scattered assortment of city states in the far north east, the Valya Free States (sometimes known as Free Valya) have a long and proud history of independence, despite years of attempted conquest by their neighbours: Great Brazak to the south west; and Ganzabar in the south. The United Sky Kingdoms is some way to the west, while further to the east is the Eastern Void. Eastern Void pirates are a significant problem for the Valyan cities. The head city of Free Valya is unofficially considered to be Damarus
The VFS are expectedly of largely Valyan descent, although there is a small presence of Hal. The primary language is Valinn, although Azbuka is starting to erode the ancestral language and is becoming more common. They use various foreign currencies, mostly Floril.
