Transpulse is the primary method of long-distance wireless communication. It has near unlimited range, but messages can only be sent in the form of ponderous binary signals, so Transpulse is used for writing telegrams as opposed to transmitting quick battle manoeuvres. It is unclear how Transpulse works exactly, but it's believed to be based on a sub-spacial medium.
Transpulse was pioneered by the Maroni.
