Autocab

The Auto-altitude Cabriolet, better known as the Autocab, is a common vehicle in Azimuth's cities. They typically carry 1-4 people and move most efficiently on the horizontal plane. Autocabs are generally cheap to run as their weight is carried by a floatrock element.

Workings

An autocab is essentially a very small powered island, utilising floatrock to maintain altitude and maneuvering engines to navigate prospekts, canals and other skyways. Autocabs are generally able to make vertical adjustments, but these are power-hungry and slow. Therefore most urban areas aim to have a minimal number of street levels.

Autocab traffic is strictly regulated to avoid collisions and congestion.
