The Ruby Falcon (Falco rubens) is a bird found throughout a large area of southern and central Azimuth. It is a vibrantly coloured bird popular amongst falconers due to flamboyant nature and an impressive plummage, although its price makes it a mark of the wealthy. It is believed to be an example of artificial selection; bred by millenia of human hands and containing genetic traces of several exotic birds.
The Ruby Falcon is well recognised as the national animal of Ganzabar, featuring prominently on the Ganzabi flag.
